Their last visit here, almost exactly a year ago, ended 2-1 to Strasbourg. They have scored at least 2 goals in each of their last 3 matches against PSG in all competitions.

Strasbourg’s win at the weekend was their first in 5 games in Ligue 1. They have yet to put together back to back victories this season. The form PSG are in this season suggest this likely won’t be the time to start.

PSG come into the game still undefeated in Ligue 1 this season; 16 matches in total including last season. They have also scored at least 2 goals in 14 of their last 15 matches in Ligue 1.

They did, however, finally drop their first points of the season last weekend in a 2-2 draw at Bordeaux. An 84th minute Andreas Cornelius goal levelling the game late on.

Barcelona’s quest for Copa del Rey glory continues on Wednesday when they host Cultural Leonesa in the second leg of their round-of-32 clash.

If the Catalans thought they might get things easy against the Segunda Division B side, they were proven wrong in the first leg.

It took a stoppage-time Clement Lenglet goal to give them the 1-0 advantage they take to Camp Nou in midweek, with the fans anticipating a more decisive display from their favourites back on home turf.Ernesto Valverde has numerous problems to juggle ahead of this clash, particularly in the defence.

Jasper Cillessen may return to the fold for this clash after training on Monday, but centre-back Samuel Umtiti is missing. Thomas Vermaelen is a doubt. Sergi Roberto, meanwhile, is out until Christmas.

Midfielders Arthur and Rafinha are both missing, the latter is out for six months, while Luis Suarez is laid up with a knee problem.

Heavy rotation can be expected for this clash, with Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets and Gerard Pique among those to be rested.

Possible Barcelona XI: Cillessen; Semedo, Chumi, Vermaelen, Miranda; Alena, Rakitic, Puig; Malcom, Munir, D. SuarezBarcelona regained top spot in La Liga at the weekend thanks to a combination of their 2-0 victory over Villarreal and Sevilla’s 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid.

They have a slender one-point lead over the Andalusians but, with a mere five points spread over the top five clubs in the Primera Division, there are multiple threats this season.

Given the tight nature of the league, and the fact that they have already qualified in Europe, it is La Liga that will hold their focus before Christmas, with a derby against Espanyol, a trip to Levante and a match against Celta to come before the break.

The Copa del Rey will, therefore, take a back seat, yet they will expect to progress with few problems against opponents who are minnows in comparison.

However, they were given a rough ride in the first leg.

“For me this is one of the worst games of the year, the first of the cup each year, as this game is always very difficult,” head coach Ernesto Valverde pointed out.

“I do not enjoy these games very much.

“The opponent always plays at 200% and are very different from those who play in La Liga.

“You are always a little more nervous.

Nothing is decided in this tie; Cultural played a very good match and everything is up in the air.”

Barca’s opponents, meanwhile, have not been going well in the third tier. They have failed to win any of their last five matches, and though four of these ended drawn, they were defeated 2-0 by Salamanca on Sunday.

If they were to avoid defeat – let alone qualify – it would be a simply enormous achievement.Barcelona hosts Cultural Leonesa on Wednesday in the Copa del Rey round of 32 second leg, with Lionel Messi and company holding a 1-0 advantage following the first leg back on Oct. 31. At home, the Spanish giants are expected to roll and move on comfortably to the round of 16, while Cultural hopes to shock Europe with a victory.Barcelona: Who is going to play for Barcelona? In the first leg, not one normal starter started this game. The squad was filled with backups like Denis Suarez and Munir, but with Barca hoping to guarantee a spot in the next round, they may feature some bigger names to put the result away.

Cultural Leonesa: If this team can pull this off, it would be a stunner. This is a team that last season got relegated from the second division. Cultural has never been in the Spanish first division and has only once made it to the round of 16 in the cup.

At his best, Rose is a superior attacking force than Davies and it is in Tottenham’s interests to get him playing again.

Tottenham are without centre-backs Jan Vertonghen (suspension) and Davinson Sanchez (injury).

One possibility is that Tottenham play three at the back, with Davies and Rose both in the starting line up.Ralph Hasenhuttl is expected to be in the stands to watch Southampton when they face Tottenham at Wembley on Wednesday (kick-off 8pm).

Sky Sports News understands Hasenhuttl has agreed terms on a two-and-half-year deal until the summer of 2021 to replace Mark Hughes, who was sacked after Saints’ 2-2 draw with Manchester United on Saturday.

The result extended Saints’ winless run in the Premier League to 10 matches. They are third from bottom in the table and are the only side in the division to win less than two matches this season.

Chelsea vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

Chelsea vs Wolverhampton Wanderers: Premier League Preview, team news, how to watch From one recently promoted opponent to another, Chelsea follow up the weekend’s 2-0 win over Fulham with a trip to Molineux to face Wolverhampton Wanderers in the league for the first time in nearly six years. Since that January 2012 day when Chelsea won 2-1 thanks to a late Lampard goal, the Blues have beaten Wolves twice, once in each domestic cup, including last season’s 2-0 win in the FA Cup and a 6-0 beatdown in the 2012-13 League Cup.

But this Wolves team is drastically different than those from half a decade ago. Acquired by foreign investors in 2016, Wolves have been built into a contender by the new money, a certain superagent, and a well-bearded manager, Nuno Espirito Santo, who was “born in the crib next to Dom Afonso Henriques” as his former manager at Porto, José Mourinho once proclaimed. Afonso I, the first King of Portugal, was known as Afonso the Conquerer, which is exactly what Nuno’s Wolves did to the Championship last season with a whopping 99 points.

Life in the Premier League started almost as well, with just 1 loss in their first 8 matches, but since the October international break, they’ve collected just 1 point from 18, losing to the likes of Brighton, Huddersfield, and Cardiff City last weekend. Ironically, the one point came away to Arsenal.

That’s not to say that they should be taken lightly — surely, they’re overdue for some points and some luck, as Sarri warned — but Chelsea should be expected to collect all three points here before Saturday’s quick turnaround at home against mighty Manchester City.

Referee: Jonathan Moss — fourth Chelsea game this season for Jonny Moss after the Community Shield, the 3-2 win over Derby in the League Cup, and the 4-1 win over Cardiff City in September. He’s handed out exactly 2 yellow cards in those 270 minutes of football.

Wolves team news: Little Portugal of the West Midlands will be down one stalwart, as young Ruben Neves serves a one-match suspension for collecting his fifth yellow card over the weekend. Even younger Morgan Gibbs-White could get his first ever Premier League start in his stead — the 18-year-old has made eight substitute appearances in the league so far this season. Wing-back Jonny Otto, recently preferred by Spain ahead of Marcos Alonso continues to miss time due to an injury picked up while being preferred by Spain ahead of Marcos Alonso during the November international break.

Bearded Mourinho believes his team has the character, the work ethic, and the confidence to get through their “bad moment” as they search for a first victory in almost exactly two months.

“We have enough leaders. It’s about us and we’re not going to solve it individually because we shout louder than others. […] we had a fantastic moment that, now we are in a bad moment, still gives us something to hold onto. It’s not just the beginning of the season, it is last season as well, so we are talking about a lot of hours of work and this is what gives us the confidence to go and perform.”

-Nuno Espirito Santo; source: Express and Star

Chelsea team news: Chelsea’s bad moment was about two hours long rather than two months, but it nonetheless has caused a fair bit of soul-searching and second-guessing and confidence-shaking. Sarri remains solemnly wedded to his principles and tactics of course, and Chelsea’s response to the 3-1 disaster at Wembley has been solid enough: two wins, one each in Europe and the league, six goals, none conceded, with improved mentality and determination to please the head coach.

The Blues are even back in third thanks to Arsenal beating Spurs in the North London Derby over the weekend, although it is rather congested between the London Trio. Separated by just one point, it’s promising to be a tight battle for the last two Champions League spots.

Previously: Pedro and Costa on target in last year’s 2-0 win in the FA Cup.

Fulham vs Leicester City

Fulham vs Leicester City : According to a report in The Sun, Fulham have emerged as the favourites to sign Liverpool’s out-of-favour right-back Nathaniel Clyne with the London club seeking a loan deal in January.

Fulham vs Leicester City Live

The report claims Clyne favours a move back to the capital, while Cardiff City and Leicester City are also keen though Liverpool are said to be uncertain over his first-team chances with the Foxes.

Fulham failed to solve their right-back problem last summer as regular first-teamer Ryan Fredericks left the Cottagers to join rivals West Ham United on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract.

New Fulham manager, Claudio Ranieri, will face his old club Leicester City where he won the Premier League in 2015-16. After winning the Premier League, he was sacked nine months later after poor performances.

However the Italian is now with Fulham who sit at the bottom of the Premier League table, but started his new chapter with a 3-2 win against Southampton, and his next match was against Chelsea which his side lost 2-0.

He is now focusing on the game against Leicester, looking for a desperate win that would push them out of the relegation zone.

As December is a busy month in the footballing world, Fulham will need to start picking up points if they want to remain in the Premier League. A win against Ranieri’s former side will lift the team spirit just before Christmas.

Realistically Fulham should be doing much better if you look at the players they have brought in. The West London club have splashed the cash after being promoted from the Championship, and they bought experienced players such as Andre Schurrle, Aleksandar Mitrović, and Sergio Rico.

These players must start performing at their best if they want to stay in the Premier League, and that could happen with Claudio Ranieri’s appointment.

It doesn’t get easier for Fulham as they face Leicester City who have done well under Claude Puel.

Leicester have done well this season as they sit 9th, but a win against poorly performing Fulham will see them jump to 6th.Fulham’s summer signing, Andre Schurrle, missed the last game against former club Chelsea due to a knock, but should return to the starting eleven. Floyd Ayite will be out due to a groin problem.

Everton have a quick turnaround from the derby loss on Saturday when they host Newcastle United tomorrow at Goodison Park. In many ways, being able to move on from the Liverpool heartbreak so quickly will be a good thing, but there may be some tired legs. How can Marco Silva mitigate that?

Tactics and Formation
The primary factor in Everton’s approach to this match will likely be Silva’s approach to squad rotation with a typically hectic December descending on the club. Newcastle United doesn’t present anything substantially different than Brighton and Hove Albion or Crystal Palace did, so we don’t suspect Silva makes any opponent-specific adjustments.

Everton vs Newcastle United Live Stream: Watch  Everton vs Newcastle United 2018 Online Soccer Free

So, we suspect the major changes will take place in the front four, where form, fatigue and past tactical success and failures could well combine to cause Silva to make a few changes at the top of the formation.

Starters (likelihood of starting rated out of 10)
Jordan Pickford – 10/10

Lucas Digne – 10/10

The French left-back will get a break in one or more matches this month, given the hectic nature of the schedule. But, he’s continued to be one of Everton’s best players, so we don’t think we’ll see Leighton Baines just yet.

Kurt Zouma – 7/10

Save the three matches he missed with a skull fracture, Michael Keane has played every minute of every match in all competitions — that’s 10 straight matches since his return to the lineup on September 23.

Kurt Zouma, meanwhile, has been a hard-luck exclusion since sitting out against his parent club, Chelsea. We think this match will be as good a chance as any to rest Keane and play Zouma, though we certainly wouldn’t be surprised to see the Englishman get his 11th straight start either.

Yerry Mina – 10/10

The Colombian was once again very solid this weekend — against a dangerous Liverpool attack no less. He got an injury-forced rest to start the season, so there’s a real chance Silva will use him heavily during the December fixture crunch.

Seamus Coleman – 10/10

Like Digne, Coleman will rest at least once or twice during the month of December. Also like Digne, he’s clearly better than the next best option on the bench — Jonjoe Kenny — so Silva won’t rotate as heavily at this position as at others.

Idrissa Gueye – 9/10

Speaking of players who don’t rotate out often, we expect Gana to start in this one as well. He started every match until Boxing Day last season, and he’s no less important to Everton now than he was then.

Andre Gomes – 10/10

We didn’t really understand Everton’s move for Andre Gomes when it was made on at the transfer deadline. We were very very wrong about him and would like to extend our apologies to the most handsome footballer from Portugal (don’t @ me).

With Gomes in the lineup, Everton drew at Stamford Bridge, went blow-for-blow with Manchester United and Liverpool, and picked up three crucial victories against lower-table opposition. That’s no coincidence.

Gylfi Sigurdsson – 10/10

Everyone’s favorite Icelander will probably need a break at some point during this period as well, so it’s a good thing Everton has…

*checks notes*

Kieran Dowell. Right.

In seriousness, the most likely outcome is that maybe Dowell gets a match, but Silva instead opts to play two strikers when resting Sigurdsson. Either way, Gylfi is a workhorse and will play in this one.

Ademola Lookman – 8/10

Marco Silva’s comments about Lookman ahead of this match definitely point to the youngster getting a start against Newcastle. He’s more than earned his chance, and maybe would have gotten a start even earlier had he not picked up a knock on youth international duty.

Richarlison – 10/10

The Brazilian will start again — we think at left wing. But even if we’re wrong about his position and the below, he’ll certainly start in some capacity.

Cenk Tosun – 8/10

The Turkish striker has been patient, looked good off the bench, and earned another chance to start after stumbling through some finishing problems in the opening part of the season. We’re pretty much over the Richarlison as striker experiment (at least in most situations), so we’re desperately hoping Tosun can put in a good performance here

Manchester United take on Arsenal at Old Trafford on Wednesday, as Jose Mourinho’s side go in search of a first home win since October.

The Red Devils will welcome a buoyant Arsenal team, who moved into fourth place in the table after a thrilling 4-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Unai Emery’s side have now gone 19 games without defeat in all competitions and are already eight points ahead of Manchester United in the table.

Manchester United have problems in defence for the visit of Arsenal. Ashley Young is suspended and Victor Lindelof is injured, while Luke Shaw and Chris Smalling are doubts, per Mark Froggatt at the club’s official website.

The defence has been one of Manchester United’s biggest weaknesses this season. Scott Patterson at ESPN FC highlighted how costly their defensive record has been:

The club also come into the match amid reports of a dressing room row after Saturday’s 2-2 draw at struggling Southampton.

Mourinho gave midfielder Paul Pogba a telling off in front of his team-mates and branded him a “virus,” an unnamed source told the Daily Record‘s Duncan Castles.

Manchester United are in need of a win after a run of three games without victory in the Premier League.

Defeat on Wednesday would see them fall 11 points behind the Gunners and could prove terminal to their hopes of finishing in the top four.

Arsenal will arrive at Old Trafford full of confidence after their north London derby win. Emery has his team playing attacking football, led by strikers Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.

The striker also warned after victory over Spurs he is “not at 100 per cent, but it’s coming,” per Sam Dean at the Daily Telegraph.

However, the Gunners may have to make do without Mesut Ozil once again. The German has missed Arsenal’s last three outings and trained alone on Monday, per Liam Twomey at The Independent.

Yet the Gunners have won all three games without Ozil and have shown this season they can cope well without the 30-year-old in the side.

Arsenal are the form team going into the game at Old Trafford. They look to have the attacking power to cause a weakened home defence problems and pile more pressure on Mourinho and Manchester United.

The Red Devils had to come from 2-0 down to salvage a point against Southampton at the weekend with the game overshadowed by speculation surrounding an apparent fresh bust-up between Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba.

The United boss has played down those reports but he’s under increasing pressure to get their season back on track as the Manchester giants head in to tonight’s game sitting eighth in the Premier League and eight points adrift of fourth-placed Arsenal.

Unai Emery will take his in-form Gunners side to Old Trafford in buoyant mood having extended their unbeaten run to 19 matches in all competitions with an impressive 4-2 comeback win over Tottenham in Sunday’s North London Derby.

Another win for Arsenal tonight would keep the pressure on third-placed Chelsea but it would also open up a huge 11 point gap from United so the north Londoners will be desperate to put another nail in Mourinho’s coffin.

Team news

United will hand late fitness tests to a number of players with Mourinho facing huge selection dilemmas. Eric Bailly, Chris Smalling and Antonio Valencia are among those needing late checks but they’ve all been included in the provisional squad so could be in contention.

Matteo Darmian is available after recovering from a knock but Luke Shaw and Phil Jones look set to miss out after being forced off with injuries against Southampton. Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford also picked up knocks at the weekend but are expected to be available against Arsenal.

Ashley Young is suspended after collecting his fifth booking of the season while Victor Lindelof and Alexis Sanchez remain sidelined through injury.

Arsenal will be without Granit Xhaka after he picked up his fifth booking at the weekend while Mesut Ozil is a doubt after missing the last two matches with a back problem.

Nacho Monreal is back in full training after a hamstring injury but he’s unlikely to feature tonight while Laurent Koscielny, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Danny Welbeck remain sidelined.

Expected Line-ups

Predictions

Man Utd are unbeaten in their last 11 home league games against Arsenal – winning 8 and drawing 3 – so backing the hosts at 7/5 looks to be a tempting bet this evening for any optimistic United fans.

However, Arsenal come in to the game in fantastic form having extended their unbeaten run to 19 games with a 4-2 win over Tottenham so Arsenal or the draw at odds of 8/15 looks a solid betdespite their poor record at Old Trafford.

United have conceded 23 goals so far this season while Arsenal have let in 18 in their 14 games so ‘both teams to score’ at 1/2 looks a dead cert while I’d also be tempted by over 2.5 match goals at 6/10.

Against a struggling Burnley side, the Reds will have to be more fluent in attack as the Clarets are likely to sit back and play for a point.

Liverpool Team News
Liverpool have a few injury worries and Klopp may have to rotate as Sadio Mane and Andy Robertson are doubtful.

The Reds do have a few games to play in the coming 10 days or so, including a crunch Champions League clash, and the manager could make a few rotations to keep the players fresh.

Predicted Liverpool Lineup
Defence

Dejan Lovren is expected to return for the clash and he could replace Joe Gomez at the heart of the defence. Virgil van Dijk should keep his place alongside Lovren at the back.

Alberto Moreno could get a rare start considering Robertson is a doubt while Trent Alexander-Arnold should start as the right-back.

Alisson put in a stellar display against Everton and made a few crucial saves. He’ll keep his place in goal.

Midfield

Jordan Henderson is back from suspension and is in line to start against the Clarets. James Milner and Naby Keita could start alongside him in a completely changed midfield to the one that started against Everton.

Keita will play a key role for the Reds as the former Leipzig man can open up a defence and his creativity will be needed against Sean Dyche’s side.

Attack

The attack often flattered to deceive against Everton and Klopp will hope they are more clinical in front of goal.

With Mane unlikely to feature, Roberto Firmino could be shifted to a wider role and replace the Senegalese on the left.
